We had a wonderful trip in Cambodia and Vietnam. So much to see and do. We had a different means of transport every day from tuktuks to ox carts to sampans. It was very hot although it was supposed to be the cooler season. We gad an outing everyday from 8.30 to 11.30. beautiful banquet lunch then some days sailing and sometimes optional shore events.
from when we got home early September it was all go to fiish, lable etc my quilts for the Auckland Festival of Quilts. These had to be handed in on the 3rd of October. We had been asked not to publish these before the show so they would be fresh.
I entered the Paul Klee one I had already put on the blog earlier. Judges comment good for first Art Quilt she felt it should have had more quilting.
I entered three in the Mixed media:
The Forest Glade came second in the Mixed Media and I received a very generous prize, tailor made for mixed media, from "Puddles and Quiltbooks.
"The Ballerina" was playing with tea bags, her skirt is two different flavours, cranberry for the frill and apple and berry for the skirt. My concept of all the things that go on to get the Ballerina on stage.
Too tired now so will finish up date tomorrow.
