First I lost my camera, next I suffered very ill health, then I was working on a piece for a challenge which wasn't allowed to be shown before the show!!
Now having spent much time in and out of hospital and got a drug regime which I hope is going to keep me pain free and able to stitch and create I am ready to go again. I will try and catch up as quickly as I can.
Below is a picture of a quilt I made for a Challenge representing a cover for a book written by a New Zealand Author.
I chose "The Petticoat Men" by Barbara Ewing. This was and absolutely entrancing story of London Society around the early 1800's. The men were courtesans by night and "ordinary men by day. Throughout the book the duality of values, moralities and treatment of citizens was extreme. I tried to show the duality by the distressed background and the glamour of the night life. Houses of Parliament were pivotal part to the story.
